We are seeking a highly skilled Access Information Coordinator to join our team at West Tennessee Healthcare. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing technical and clerical support for our team, including report creation and maintenance of various computer/software systems used.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in the creation, testing, training, and oversight/maintenance of specific departmental computer applications, assuming a lead role as needed.
- Develop and maintain monthly data packets for department managers and Patient Financial Services administration, utilizing various Revenue Cycle and Patient Financial Services metrics.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for department users for system maintenance needs.
- Analyze problems with computer-based information systems, collaborate with software vendors and customers to resolve issues with existing software.
- Compose, create, type, and maintain spreadsheets and reports, files, and maintain other materials for the department.
- Assist in time and attendance tasks, maintain records of absenteeism, tardiness, FMLA events, and other personnel accounts, and report items needing attention to management.
- Initiate and handle personnel-related documentation and paperwork, maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Understand and remain current with basic departmental admitting/registration/access processes.
- Schedule meetings, appointments, secure meeting rooms, and schedule staff as needed for various meetings, handle associated paperwork and contacts.
- Monitor overall ordering needs for all cost centers, take responsibility for cost reduction/maintenance, and attend meetings and participate on various committees as indicated.
- Ability to perform technical/clerical duties acquired through high school graduation, with a Bachelor's degree in computer or related subject preferred.
- Effective interaction and communication with other personnel, physicians, vendors, patients, and their families.
- Previous experience in patient financial services preferred.
