Role:
We are looking for a Desktop Engineering Project Manager to lead a significant Windows 11 upgrade initiative. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and are eager to tackle complex IT projects across various sectors within an Investor-Owned Utility client based in New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the field services team to devise a rollout schedule for either a virtual Windows 11 upgrade or a hardware refresh for incompatible devices.
- Establish a centralized document repository and gather business requirements from various stakeholders including application services, infrastructure operations, desktop engineering, and information security.
- Work closely with the desktop engineering lead to create and document test scripts, ensuring all results are accurately recorded in the shared repository.
- Maintain a RAID log and facilitate decision-making processes regarding project progression.
- Oversee Organizational Change Management (OCM) activities across support teams, ensuring effective communication with business users in partnership with the OCM group.
- Direct project personnel, manage costs and schedules, ensure compliance with contracts, and serve as the primary interface for clients.
- Provide proactive leadership to multidisciplinary teams, addressing business needs for assigned projects.
- Develop comprehensive project management plans, set clear expectations, and conduct governance reviews to align with organizational procedures.
- Ensure all requirements are meticulously gathered, documented, reviewed, and approved in accordance with PMO standards.
- Deliver high-quality written and verbal communications regarding project status, including weekly updates and dashboards.
- Monitor and manage project tasks, timelines, and quality of deliverables, providing monthly forecasts and accruals.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Additional experience may substitute for formal education.
- Minimum of 6 years of robust Project Management experience.
- Proven track record in managing Windows Upgrade projects.
- Extensive experience in Project Financials, Schedules, Scope, and Testing, complemented by strong communication and presentation skills.
- Solid understanding of Project Management principles and practices.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships and networks.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment while keeping all members informed.
- Exceptional customer-facing skills and strong organizational abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project or similar tools.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the utility sector is advantageous.
