Position Summary:

The Financial Operations Specialist will oversee and manage the company's financial transactions associated with accounts payable and receivable. This role is essential for ensuring the timely and precise processing of invoices, payments, and receipts, while upholding robust financial controls and fostering strong relationships with vendors and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounts Payable Management:

  • Review and validate invoices and expense reports, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts payable transactions and address any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve payment-related issues and disputes.
  • Facilitate payment runs, including checks and electronic transactions.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all accounts payable activities.

2. Accounts Receivable Management:

  • Generate and distribute customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Process and apply incoming payments, including checks, wire transfers, and credit card transactions.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies or disputes.
  • Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports to provide insights into cash flow and collections.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience (preferred, not mandatory).
  • Demonstrated experience as an Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist or in a similar financial role.
  • Significant experience in accounts receivable is essential.
  • Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
