Job Summary

The Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of a regional foster care team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to children and families. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as expertise in child welfare systems and therapeutic foster care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical guidance and supervision to foster care staff, ensuring adherence to agency policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement regional marketing plans to promote Lutheran Services Carolinas and establish a strong community network.
  • Manage the recruitment and licensing of therapeutic foster care parents, including assessment, training, and licensing of foster care homes.
  • Oversee the intake and referral process, facilitating placement matches and coordinating the placement process.
  • Supervise foster care staff, including foster care supervisors, family recruiters, and family developers, and complete annual performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing rules and accreditation standards.
  • Provide ongoing support and supervision to clinical staff, including on-call rotation.
  • Support the use of evidence-based interventions and practices, such as the Collaborative Problem Solving Model.
Qualifications

Master's degree in social work or related field, with at least 5 years of experience in child welfare, including 2 years of supervisory experience. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in social work or related field, with at least 7 years of experience in child welfare, including 2 years of supervisory experience.

Must have knowledge of child welfare systems, group and team facilitation, assessment, and behavioral treatment planning. Must be self-motivated, have good time management skills, and be able to work independently. Must possess supervisory and leadership skills.
