As a vital member of our housekeeping team, you will carry out daily operations in the Laundry Department, ensuring that it is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.

Education and Experience:

  • No formal education required; on-the-job training will be provided. A minimum of one (1) year of experience in laundry operations is preferred but not mandatory.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Address the laundry requirements of the facility.
  • Ensure timely completion of laundry processes and maintain adequate linen levels.
  • Verify that all laundry machinery and equipment are in safe and efficient working order.
  • Handle chemicals safely at all times.
  • Remove damaged or soiled linen and clothing from inventory.
  • Perform mending and ironing as necessary.
  • Adhere to privacy practices and safeguard residents' health information.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the management team.

Specific Requirements:

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Capacity to make independent decisions when necessary.
  • Ability to interact tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
  • Knowledge of laundry practices and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with both professional and non-professional staff.
  • Maintain the care and use of supplies and equipment, ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of laundry areas.
  • Exhibit patience, tact, a positive attitude, and enthusiasm while engaging with residents.
  • Willingness to explore new methods and principles and integrate them into existing laundry practices.
  • Ability to communicate information regarding a resident's condition or incidents.
