Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compensation Strategist to join our team at BMO. As a key member of our compensation team, you will provide expert advice and counsel to executive leaders and stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness of our compensation programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement compensation strategies that align with BMO's business objectives and support the execution of our overall strategy.
  • Provide expert advice and counsel to senior leaders and stakeholders on compensation-related matters, including program design, governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and implement compensation programs that drive business results and enhance employee productivity and engagement.
  • Analyze data and trends to inform compensation decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicate compensation strategies and results to senior leaders and stakeholders through regular reporting and presentations.

Requirements:

  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expert knowledge of compensation theory and program design methodology.
  • Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience, and industry knowledge.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, in-depth/expert.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, in-depth/expert.
  • Influence skills, in-depth/expert.

Salary:

$100,000.00 - $185,500.00

Pay Type:

Salaried

The above represents BMO's pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO's expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
