The Financial Reporting Specialist is responsible for compiling financial and informational reports for management's use, following accounting principles and government regulations. This role also involves administering key processes that support timely and accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and generate month-end and ad-hoc reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain the fixed asset ledger and depreciation and amortization schedules, ensuring up-to-date records and accurate calculations.
- Administer and maintain the Company's lease ledger and prepare related journal entries, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Administer the internal employee expense report process, including the Concur application, to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Compile data for industry surveys, maintain reporting templates, and provide timely information to support business decisions.
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations and adjusting journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with treasury functions such as account transfers, bank account reconciliations, and scheduling corporate tax payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Support the year-end financial audit through providing information to our external audit team and responding to their inquiries, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.
- Perform other duties as assigned, supporting the accounting team and contributing to the company's financial success.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting (Associate's degree with relevant experience acceptable), demonstrating a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with algebra and ability to apply basic statistical analysis, ensuring accurate calculations and data analysis.
- Solid analytical skills and ability to support findings and recommendations, providing valuable insights to management.
- Utmost level of maturity with ability to handle sensitive and confidential information, maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities at the same time, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Professional demeanor and diplomacy, interacting with colleagues and management in a respectful and courteous manner.
