Position Overview:


The Bereavement Support Coordinator will report directly to the Bereavement Coordinator Manager and will work collaboratively with other members of the interdisciplinary team across various branches to assess the bereavement needs of patients and their families.


Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred undergraduate degree in a human services field.

Graduate degree in a related discipline is necessary for counseling responsibilities.

A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a diverse multi-disciplinary environment is required; 3 years is preferred. Experience in dealing with life-threatening and chronic illnesses, as well as grief and loss, is essential.

Preferred counseling experience in individual, family, or group therapy settings.

Familiarity with the needs of terminally ill patients and their families, along with a solid understanding of end-of-life care, hospice services, loss, and death is crucial.
