Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet Customers Promptly: Welcome customers into our retail location and make them feel valued and appreciated.
  • Develop Professional Relationships: Build and maintain professional and courteous relationships with customers and coworkers.
  • Assist Customers: Determine customer needs and use various resources to educate and assist them in choosing the right products.
  • Implement Merchandising and Operational Procedures: Assist the management team in implementing merchandising and operational procedures to drive sales and improve customer experience.
  • Ensure Store Appearance: Ensure that the store appears well-organized, clean, and visually appealing at all times.
  • Operate POS System: Efficiently operate the point-of-sale system, quickly and accurately scan items, accept payment, make change, provide receipts, and bag merchandise for customers.
  • Conceptualize Displays: Conceptualize ideas for floral decorations and home décor displays to enhance the customer shopping experience.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean fixtures, shelves, backrooms, bathrooms, and floors according to company policy as directed by the management team.
  • Participate in Learning and Development: Participate in learning and development activities such as meetings, product knowledge meetings, and one-on-one interactions to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Passion for Horticulture and Home Décor: Must have a passion for horticulture, yard/home décor, and seasonal merchandise.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Must have good written and verbal communication skills along with exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to Work in Various Environments: Must be able to work in both inside and outside environmental conditions, rain or shine.
  • Multitasking and Problem-Solving: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently or within a team environment.
  • Organizational and Problem-Solving Skills: Great organizational and problem-solving skills.
