- Cost Control: Manage food, labor, and departmental expenses to maintain profitability and efficiency.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering, receiving, storage, and rotation of food products to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that food products meet our hotel's standards.
- Team Development: Foster a positive and productive work environment by providing training, coaching, and feedback to team members.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with the culinary team, other hotel departments, and external partners to ensure seamless operations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or equivalent work experience beneficial.
- Experience: 3-5 years of managerial and production experience in a similar hotel or resort environment.
- Skills: Thorough knowledge of food products, standard recipes, and proper preparation; ability to read, write, and speak English; finger/hand dexterity to operate food machinery; ability to lift and/or carry goods weighing up to 200 lbs.
- Certifications: CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred; ability to obtain certification in Serve Safe.
