Position Overview
The Director of Human Resources plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing HR strategies, policies, and initiatives. This position is pivotal in ensuring that our organization operates in compliance with relevant laws and regulations while fostering a supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
The following are essential duties associated with this role:

  • Supervise and coordinate the Human Resources Department's activities.
  • Develop and implement personnel policies and procedures that comply with applicable laws.
  • Create and maintain an accessible employee handbook and clear job descriptions.
  • Manage background screening processes for new hires and conduct annual re-screening for current staff.
  • Oversee performance evaluation programs to ensure timely assessments of personnel.
  • Administer payroll functions and maintain accurate personnel records.
  • Coordinate training programs and maintain compliance with training record-keeping.
  • Manage employee benefits programs and ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
  • Assist with the administration of the agency's retirement plan.
  • Handle grievances and represent the agency in unemployment claims as necessary.
  • Ensure a focus on exceptional customer service within the HR department.

Qualifications
This role requires a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. A preference will be given to candidates with at least five years of supervisory experience and HR certification (PHR or SPHR).

Employment Type
This is a full-time position.

The annual salary for this position is $60,000, with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
