Job Title: Sales Lead

Job Summary

The Sales Lead is responsible for advancing and securing sales within their designated territory. This role requires a strong understanding of customer needs and a consultative approach to selling. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a proven track record of success, and a passion for the wine and spirits industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the voice of the customer and service their needs within assigned territory
  • Educate customers on the right products for their business
  • Use informed selling to introduce new products and close gaps in existing distribution
  • Visit accounts frequently to provide service and maximize revenue potential
  • Establish individual sales plans that consider customer needs and geographies
  • Set the overall selling plan for each customer and work closely with them to understand and support their business strategies, goals, and objectives
  • Follow up with customers to ensure their orders are delivered accurately and promptly
  • Develop sales skills and knowledge of the organization's products, services, and customers
Requirements
  • One year certificate from college or technical school; four year college degree, preferred
  • Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong client skills and experience understanding customer needs

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in the wine and spirits industry
  • Industry certifications, such as CSW, CSS, WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, or Sake Specialist
