Compensation Range: $110,697.60 - $147,680.00 Annual

Job Description:

You will play a vital role in ensuring seamless care for our adult and pediatric transplant patients. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to support patients throughout their transplant journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support day-to-day operations of assigned patient care area(s)
  • Supervise nurses and support staff, including Registered Nurses, Patient Care Assistants, and Technicians
  • Oversee preparation of schedules, adjusting according to patient flow
  • Accurately forecast and manage budget for the unit, ensuring expenditures are within budget
  • Develop programs addressing continuous quality improvement, system enhancement, streamlined processes, patient experience, and overall nurse performance
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the unit supervised
  • Provide highest quality nursing care to patients and their families
  • Develop and manage partnerships with clinicians, physicians, and administrative counterparts to achieve common goals
  • Promote integration of multidisciplinary work groups, managing recruitment, performance, team member engagement, and retention activities of assigned staff
  • Implement UVA shared governance nursing model at the unit level, ensuring shared decision making that affects nursing practice, quality improvement, professional development, and research

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program; Master's degree in related field within 5 years of hire
  • At least 3 years of progressively more responsible experience as a registered nurse in a patient care environment required
  • License to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia required; American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required
