About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Simulation Operations Specialist to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the education of medical students, nursing students, and other members of the healthcare team in simulation-based training environments.

Responsibilities
  • Operate simulations by programming, testing, and running scenarios alongside faculty instructors to ensure the simulation center is prepared for learning sessions.
  • Gain proficiency operating a range of simulator technologies, including anatomic models, task trainers, screen-based simulators, full-body patient simulators, and virtual reality surgical simulators.
  • Provide operational assistance in the simulation collaborative, anatomy lab, and surgical skills training center as assigned.
  • Acquire proficiency in all facets of equipment operation, maintenance, support, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement.
  • Communicate and provide feedback to the Director/Assistant Director of Simulation Operations regarding technology, equipment, operational, and other identified needs essential for the overall maintenance and functionality of supported programs.
  • Gather data to support operational, research, and commercial initiatives as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An associates degree or experiential equivalent in a healthcare or science-related field.
  • No prior experience required.
