Role Summary: We are looking for a Deputy Project Manager to assist in managing our operations in a dynamic environment. This role involves overseeing maintenance and operational planning, coordinating contract functions, and reporting directly to the Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the successful execution of all contract aspects between EMCOR and the client.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to prepare financial forecasts and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Lead and develop a team of technical staff, fostering a disciplined and well-trained workforce.
  • Manage daily operations, scheduled maintenance, and renovation projects, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
  • Work with the Project Manager to optimize project efficiency while controlling operational costs.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to staff in completing their assignments.
  • Supervise the bidding process for construction contracts and manage contract administration.
  • Delegate project tasks and prioritize maintenance activities effectively.
  • Consult with HR and the Project Manager on staffing decisions, including hiring and promotions.
  • Advise client facilities staff on operational issues and maintenance concerns.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of facilities, including HVAC systems and overall building appearance.
  • Coordinate procurement of supplies and maintain inventory control.
  • Maintain communication with architects and contractors on major projects.
  • Keep accurate records and establish procedures for effective management.
  • Develop and conduct training programs for staff.
  • Implement and uphold a robust safety program.
  • Ensure compliance with the EGS Business System among administrative staff.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of seven years of experience in the maintenance and repair of commercial and industrial facilities.
  • Proven ability to manage and coordinate all aspects of facility operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients.
  • Experience in office administration and facility management.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to lead teams and work independently.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Must pass a drug test and obtain necessary security clearances.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, and kneeling.
