Group Health Insurance Business Development Specialist

Alera Group, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Group Health Insurance Agent to cultivate, grow, and maintain new small group business within our local market.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team where you will have the chance to develop a pipeline of new clients through direct and indirect customer contact and prospecting with follow-up on leads to identify business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development: Develop a pipeline of new clients through direct and indirect customer contact and prospecting with follow-up on leads to identify business opportunities.
- Client Servicing: Service existing clients to ensure their needs are met and they are satisfied with our services.
- Team Growth: Grow a team of agents to support the growth of our small group business.
- Opportunity Identification: Assist in identifying new opportunities for growth and development of new business relationships.
- Relationship Building: Develop relationships with strong small businesses to identify potential opportunities for growth.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication in person and by phone.
- Sales and Marketing Knowledge: Knowledge of principles and methods for presenting, promoting, and selling products or services.
- Business Acumen: Knowledge of general business principles, strategic planning, resource allocation, profit/loss requirements, organizational structures, and operational needs.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Travel: Ability to work with our team virtually, in-person, and for client/business travel.
- Licensing: Have or willing to acquire Accident and Health License.
- Language Skills: Bilingual, Spanish - a plus.
