Position Overview:

Soliant is looking for a dedicated and skilled Communication Specialist in Speech Therapy to join our team. This full-time role focuses on providing extensive speech and language therapy services aimed at enhancing students' communication abilities and fostering their academic achievements.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Therapeutic Services: Deliver personalized and group speech-language therapy in accordance with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Assessment & Analysis: Perform evaluations to determine speech and language requirements, and create and execute effective treatment strategies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with educators, special education personnel, and families to incorporate therapy objectives into classroom activities, ensuring unified support for students.
  • Record Keeping: Keep precise and comprehensive documentation of therapy sessions, student advancements, and assessments.
  • Professional Growth: Remain informed about the latest practices and developments in speech-language pathology; participate in relevant training and professional enhancement opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Florida.
  • Educational Background: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Experience: Previous experience in an educational environment is preferred; pediatric experience is a plus.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities; capacity to effectively engage with a diverse student demographic and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Additional Requirements: Current CPR and First Aid certification; necessary state clearances.

Work Environment:

  • Setting: School-based environment, including classrooms and therapy spaces.
  • Schedule: Full-time role with standard school hours.
