Job Description

The Director of Operations and Supply Chain is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the manufacturing operations at our Danbury, CT facility. This individual will lead a team of professionals across operations, supply chain, planning, materials, and manufacturing engineering to meet the expectations of our customers, employees, and owners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead manufacturing operations at the Danbury facility, including a team of salaried supervisors and up to 60+ hourly employees.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
  • Collaborate with the executive leadership team to translate business plans and strategies into operational targets and development plans.
  • Work closely with supply chain and quality leadership to deliver operational strategies and improvement projects aligned with our 5-year business plan activities.
  • Develop and drive GM and overhead improvements year over year through capital projects and continuous improvement plans.
  • Lead LEAN implementation throughout the company and assume the role as LEAN champion.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of production processes, driving labor efficiencies and product quality.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy working environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
Requirements
  • 10-12 years of operational experience, with a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience working in regulated environments (ISO, FDA) or similar highly process-driven environments.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing processes, including demand forecasting, capacity planning, lean manufacturing, and value stream mapping.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to reason and influence at all levels.
  • Ability to champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas.
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean certification or training.
  • 10+ years of production/manufacturing/operations management experience.
