Overview

The Relationship Manager will oversee the most intricate Retirement Services client partnerships as designated. This role is pivotal in preserving and growing existing partnerships, alongside acquiring new clients. The manager will hold comprehensive responsibility for nurturing client relationships and ensuring the effective delivery of all services and products offered through Disability Solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a cohesive and integrated client experience through exceptional execution aligned with Disability Solutions' value proposition. Ensure consistent delivery of Retirement Services relationship management to designated clients. Collaborate with internal teams to guarantee seamless service delivery and uphold client satisfaction. Initiate activities and strategies to retain and expand Retirement Services client relationships while increasing revenue for Disability Solutions. Responsible for organizing, documenting, and executing the Retirement Services client relationship strategy.
  • Enhance, broaden, and retain existing Retirement Services client relationships by identifying cross-selling opportunities for Disability Solutions services and working collaboratively across the organization to achieve outcomes. Build relationships with internal and external influencers to establish an effective referral network for new prospects. Engage in community and business initiatives to elevate the reputation and standing of Disability Solutions. Oversee the completion of responses to Requests for Proposals for assigned Retirement Services accounts and new business opportunities. Provide technical sales support in developing new business. Meet annual sales objectives. Serve as a mentor and trainer for junior Retirement Services Relationship Managers. Act as a Retirement Services technical resource for other Relationship Managers regarding specific administrative, leadership, or management functions as directed by the Relationship Team Manager.
  • Ensure that assigned accounts are managed in accordance with the governing account documents. Complete all necessary reviews and reports promptly and accurately. Analyze assigned Retirement Services accounts for their operational efficiency and effectiveness. Advise clients, both corporate and employee, on the design and administration of assigned accounts. Interact with Retirement Services client contacts and others to maintain their trust without compromising fiduciary responsibilities. Communicate with client contacts to address routine inquiries regarding trust services, investments, and administrative matters, and resolve common issues while escalating more complex problems to superiors.
  • This position may involve coaching and managing junior staff as necessary.


Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Relevant degree related to the essential duties of this position is required.

Experience

A minimum of 10 years in Institutional Retirement Services relationship management, including overseeing new client acquisition, retaining and expanding existing relationships, and servicing institutional retirement plans is required.

Strong understanding of ERISA, defined contribution, and defined benefit plans is essential.

Certifications

AIF and QKA certifications are preferred.

This role may encompass additional responsibilities as assigned by the manager. Every employee within the organization, regardless of their position, is responsible for understanding and acting upon the contents of all company-assigned compliance programs, regulations, and policies, as well as ensuring that all compliance training is completed by the designated deadlines. This includes recognizing and identifying compliance risks that may affect their department(s), ensuring adherence to applicable laws or regulations, and escalating compliance risks to the appropriate management level.

Pay Transparency

To enhance transparency for candidates, we disclose base salary ranges in all job postings. Standard salary ranges for our roles are established based on the position, function, and responsibilities, benchmarked against similarly sized companies in our industry. Specific compensation will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. Salary ranges may vary based on geographic location.

The salary range for this position is $84,000 to $140,200 annually.

Additional Compensation Components

This position is eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units and may participate in a short-term incentive compensation plan based on individual and company performance.
