Overview

The Relationship Manager will oversee the most intricate Retirement Services client partnerships as designated. This role is accountable for maintaining and growing existing relationships, as well as acquiring new clients. The Relationship Manager holds overall responsibility for the stewardship of client partnerships and the provision of all offerings through Disability Solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the delivery of a cohesive and integrated client experience through exceptional execution aligned with Disability Solutions' value proposition. Ensure consistent management of Retirement Services for assigned clients. Collaborate with internal teams to guarantee seamless service delivery and uphold client satisfaction. Initiate activities and strategies to retain and expand Retirement Services client partnerships and enhance revenue for Disability Solutions. Organize, document, and implement the Retirement Services client relationship strategy.
  • Enhance, broaden, and retain existing Retirement Services client partnerships by identifying cross-selling opportunities for Disability Solutions services and working collaboratively across the organization to achieve objectives. Build relationships with internal and external influencers to create an effective referral network for new prospects. Engage in community and business initiatives to elevate the profile and reputation of Disability Solutions. Oversee the completion of responses to Requests for Proposals for assigned Retirement Services accounts and new business opportunities. Provide technical sales support in the pursuit of new business. Meet annual sales targets. Serve as a mentor and trainer for junior Retirement Services Relationship Managers. Act as a Retirement Services technical resource for other Relationship Managers for specific administrative, leadership, or management tasks as assigned by the Relationship Team Manager.
  • Ensure that assigned accounts are managed in accordance with the governing account documents. Complete all necessary reviews and reports promptly and accurately. Review and assess assigned Retirement Services accounts for their efficient and effective operation. Advise clients, both employee and corporate, regarding the design and management of assigned accounts. Interact with Retirement Services client contacts and others to maintain their trust without compromising fiduciary responsibilities. Communicate with client contacts to address routine inquiries regarding trust services, investments, and administrative matters, while escalating issues that exceed authority to superiors.
  • This position may involve coaching and managing junior staff members.


Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Relevant degree related to the essential duties of this position is required.

Experience

A minimum of 10 years in Institutional Retirement Services relationship management, which includes overseeing new client acquisition, retaining and expanding existing partnerships, and servicing institutional retirement plans, is required.

In-depth knowledge of ERISA, defined contribution, and defined benefit plans is essential.

Certifications

AIF and QKA certifications are preferred.

Other Duties as Assigned by Manager

This role may encompass additional responsibilities as assigned by the manager. Each employee is accountable for understanding and adhering to all company policies, compliance programs, and regulations, ensuring that all compliance training is completed by established deadlines. This includes recognizing and addressing compliance risks within their department and escalating concerns to the appropriate management level.

Pay Transparency

To enhance transparency for candidates, we disclose base salary ranges in all job postings. Salary ranges are established based on the position, function, and responsibilities, benchmarked against similarly sized companies in our industry. Specific compensation will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.

The salary range for this position is $84,000 to $140,200 annually.

Additional Compensation Components

This position is eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units and participation in a short-term incentive compensation plan based on individual and company performance.
