Overview
The Relationship Manager is tasked with overseeing the most intricate Retirement Services client partnerships as designated. This role is pivotal in maintaining and growing existing client relationships while also focusing on acquiring new clients. The individual will be accountable for the stewardship of client connections and the provision of all products and services through Disability Solutions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a cohesive and integrated client experience by executing Disability Solutions' value proposition effectively. Ensure consistent management of Retirement Services for assigned clients. Collaborate with internal teams to guarantee seamless service delivery and uphold client satisfaction. Develop initiatives aimed at retaining and expanding Retirement Services client relationships while increasing revenue for Disability Solutions. Organize, document, and implement the Retirement Services client relationship strategy.
- Enhance and broaden existing Retirement Services client relationships by identifying opportunities for cross-selling Disability Solutions services and collaborating across departments to achieve objectives. Build relationships with internal and external influencers to create a robust referral network for new prospects. Engage in community and business initiatives to elevate the reputation and standing of Disability Solutions. Coordinate responses to Requests for Proposals for assigned Retirement Services accounts and new business opportunities. Provide technical sales support for new business development. Meet annual sales targets. Mentor and train junior Retirement Services Relationship Managers. Serve as a Retirement Services technical resource for other Relationship Managers regarding administrative, leadership, or management tasks as directed by the Relationship Team Manager.
- Ensure that assigned accounts are managed in accordance with the governing account documents. Complete all necessary reviews and reports promptly and accurately. Analyze assigned Retirement Services accounts for efficient and effective operations. Advise clients, both employees and corporations, on the design and management of assigned accounts. Interact with Retirement Services client contacts and others to maintain their trust while upholding the fiduciary responsibilities of Disability Solutions. Communicate with client contacts to address routine inquiries regarding trust services, investments, and administrative issues, and manage standard problems and requests while escalating more complex issues to superiors.
- This position may involve coaching and managing junior staff members.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field. (Required)
Experience
A minimum of 10 years in Institutional Retirement Services relationship management, including new client acquisition, retention, and servicing institutional retirement plans. (Required)
In-depth knowledge of ERISA, defined contribution, and defined benefit plans. (Required)
Certifications
AIF and QKA certifications are preferred.
Other Duties as Assigned by Manager
This role may encompass additional responsibilities as assigned by management. Every employee is responsible for understanding and adhering to all company compliance programs, regulations, and policies, ensuring completion of all compliance training by set deadlines. This includes recognizing and addressing compliance risks relevant to their department and escalating concerns to the appropriate management level.
Pay Transparency
To enhance transparency for candidates, we disclose base salary ranges in all job postings. Salary ranges are established based on the position, function, and responsibilities, benchmarked against similar companies in our industry. Compensation will be determined based on a combination of factors, including the candidate's knowledge, skills, work experience, and relevant credentials. Salary ranges may vary based on geographic location.
The salary range for this position is $84,000 to $140,200 annually.
Additional Compensation Components
This position is eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units and participation in a short-term incentive compensation plan based on individual and company performance.
