About the Role

Aegis is in search of a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as an accountant. This role will focus on maintaining our general ledger and overseeing the financial operations of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the month-end closing process
  • Manage and process accounts payable
  • Conduct analysis to support account and sub-ledger reconciliations
  • Facilitate the financial reporting process
  • Support daily cash reconciliation efforts
  • Assist with the application of client payments
  • Prepare and process accounts receivable credit memos and adjustments
  • Collaborate with finance team members to ensure quality control across job functions
  • Identify, research, and assist with ongoing improvements to processes or systems
  • Support billing operations as necessary
Qualifications:
  • 0-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or business operations
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Understanding and application of accounting principles
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities
  • Technologically adept and quick to learn new software
Core Competencies:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and handling large data sets
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Familiarity with accounting closing procedures
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with Sage Intacct or similar financial/ERP platforms
  • Financial reporting experience
  • Exposure to multi-entity businesses or environments with over 100 employees
  • CPA certification preferred but not mandatory
