Job Summary

Centuria Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Video Teleconferencing and Audio Visual Support Specialist to join our team at the USFF Headquarters in Norfolk, Virginia. As a member of our USFF Communications and Information Systems Division (N6) Support Team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Navy Fleet Readiness and Homeland Security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide network support and assist VTC facilitators at subordinate commands.
  • Support senior Flag Officer for all out-of-area conferences hosted by USFF.
  • Perform installation tasks for audio visual and structured cabling projects, including cable pulls, terminations, and system testing.
  • Support and maintain all VTC and AV presentation equipment, including Cisco Codecs, large screen displays, and audio mixers.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot conference room AV systems and equipment.
  • Test all equipment to ensure correct operation and compatibility.
  • Train and instruct customers and fellow internal team members on the proper use of equipment and systems.
  • Read and interpret construction documents, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Routine cable pulls for LAN, video, and audio systems, terminating and testing of audio and data cables.
  • Arrange for the proper turn in and disposal of excess equipment.
  • Perform proper termination of various cable types, including Fiber Optic.
  • Coordinate repair return authorizations with manufacturers and vendors.
  • Provide training for system users and act as a Customer Service Representative.
Requirements
  • High School or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of related functional and technical experience in support of video teleconferencing (VTC) systems.
  • Minimum of 4 years of in-depth experience in the AV and VTC system integration field of expertise.
  • Able to read and understand system schematics.
  • Able to work independently or as a member of an integrated team.
  • Act as a Customer Service Representative and be able to interpret system issues reported and effectively resolve.
  • Validation of qualifications and credentials are to be demonstrated by resume.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance.
  • Must have a CompTIA Security+ certification.
