About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team at Cumming Group. As a key member of our project management team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of large-scale construction projects in the education sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and engineering support to project managers and construction managers, ensuring timely and accurate responses to requests for information.
  • Coordinate with architects to maintain current contract plans and specifications, and ensure compliance with job specifications and Division of the State Architect (DSA) Requirements.
  • Conduct field checks to verify compliance with job specifications, plans, and DSA Requirements, and document progress of construction projects.
  • Assist in preparing written materials, including correspondence, reports, procedures, and guidelines, and log and track status of project change order proposals, field orders, and approved change orders.
  • Maintain project files and record drawings, and review submittals for conformance to plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate and record minutes of meetings with project stakeholders, and assist in reviewing submittal procedures, RFIs, and monthly invoices.
Requirements
  • BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar or equivalent position involved in project or construction management of commercial and/or public or educational facility construction projects.
  • Experience supporting K-12 construction projects, and experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design process preferred.
