Job Title: Probation Officer

About the Role:

As a Probation Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals who are on probation or parole. You will work closely with clients to assess their risks and needs, develop personalized rehabilitation plans, and provide guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage clients assigned to our agency or released to the community
  • Assess clients' risks and needs, and develop effective rehabilitation plans
  • Counsel and supervise clients while on probation or parole
  • Prepare pardon and pre-sentence investigation reports for the court
  • Perform interstate compact duties and participate in the formulation and oversight of community reentry release plans
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Behavior Sciences, or Social Sciences, or a closely related field
  • At least 6 months of experience in probation/parole work, counseling, or case management, or law enforcement activities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
