We Are Seeking

The Customer Service Representative role is dedicated to delivering exceptional service to residents, staff, and the public regarding Development Services applications and permits, business and liquor licenses, public works requests, burglar alarms, and utility billing in both in-person and call center settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and input Development Services applications and permits into the system;
  • Process payments via cash, check, and/or credit card for Development Services and Finance transactions. Ensure daily cash drawer balancing and prepare bank deposits;
  • Manage the issuance and renewal of business licenses, including payment processing and application scanning;
  • Handle Public Works service requests from residents, covering areas such as Streets, Environmental Services, Meter Services, Water Conservation, and Water Quality;
  • Address inquiries related to utility billing, business licensing, and permitting;
About You

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associates degree (A.S., A.A.) or a two-year technical certificate in a relevant field;
  • 3 years of experience in a customer service role and/or in a high-volume call center environment;
  • 2 years of experience utilizing multiple software systems;
  • 1 year of cashiering experience if applicable;
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the necessary knowledge and abilities to perform the work.
PREFERRED SKILLS INCLUDE:
  • Proficiency with relevant software applications;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with colleagues, supervisors, and external customers;
  • Knowledge of mathematical operations, cashiering policies, data entry, and filing techniques;
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
