Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Care Assistant to join our team at SSM Health. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Prepare and serve meals to residents, ensuring their dietary needs are met.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning and laundry, to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging them in activities and conversations.
  • Assist with transportation and mobility, ensuring residents can move safely and comfortably.
  • Participate in recreational and social activities, promoting a sense of community and connection among residents.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications in medication administration, standard precautions, first aid, and fire safety preferred.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
