Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at SSM Health. As a Long Term Care Nurse, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled nursing care to residents according to established care plans and federal and state regulations.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to standards of care and maintain competency in all required nursing skills.
  • Provide guidance and direction to ancillary staff, including CNAs and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor the workflow of the unit to ensure coordination of care and maintain accurate inventory of medications.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, guardians, and family members to ensure their needs are met.
  • Participate in report meetings and provide teaching and training to residents and families as needed.
  • Ensure quality end-of-life care and provide comfort, hygiene, and spiritual support to residents and their families.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of work location or compact multi-state license.
