We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Care Assistant to join our team at SSM Health. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents in a long-term care setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care
    • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
    • Help residents with mobility and transfer assistance
    • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
  • Assist with Daily Tasks
    • Prepare and serve meals to residents
    • Clean and maintain resident rooms and common areas
    • Assist with laundry and linen services
  • Support Resident Activities
    • Encourage residents to participate in recreational and social activities
    • Assist with transportation to and from activities
    • Provide support and assistance with daily routines
  • Collaborate with Care Team
    • Work closely with nurses, therapists, and other care team members to ensure comprehensive care
    • Communicate resident needs and concerns to care team members
    • Participate in care planning and goal setting
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Certifications in medication administration, first aid, and CPR required
  • Experience
    • No experience required, but previous experience in long-term care or a related field preferred
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting
