Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team at SH Varsity Acquisitions Sub LLC. As a key member of our special education support team, you will provide therapeutic support to students with diverse needs, working closely with district staff to ensure effective case management and student progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions based on needs assessments.
  • Support classroom staff and teachers in implementing strategies for student progress.
  • Collaborate with district staff to ensure effective case management and student outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver engaging social skills programs to support student success.
  • Provide behavioral guidance and share expertise on behavior change principles with classroom staff.
  • Assist in collecting quality indicator data and provide crisis intervention as needed.

Requirements:

  • A master's degree in counseling, psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Post-graduate supervision experience with completion of 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience over at least two years.
  • An active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certificate through the National Counselor Examination for Licensure and Certification (NCE).
  • Demonstrated understanding of Individualized Education Plan (IEP) development and implementation.
  • Understanding and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and needs of students and families.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a school setting, ideally as an LPC.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage crises and implement de-escalation techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
