Residential Counselor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Counselor to join our team at Elk Hill Farm, Inc. As a Residential Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and supportive environment for our youth to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support and guidance to youth in a group home setting
• Develop and implement behavior support plans to promote positive change
• Collaborate with treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
• At least six months of experience working with children with mental health diagnoses
• Successful experience in a group home or residential setting
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and maintain professional boundaries
• Valid driver's license and good driving record (preferred)
