Special Education Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Support Professional to join our team at New Story School. As a Special Education Support Professional, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with special needs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in creating a welcoming and supportive classroom environment.
- Provide individualized support to students, helping them to understand and complete assignments.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and a productive learning atmosphere.
- Act as a bridge between students and teachers, helping to clarify instructions and ensure that each student's needs are understood and met.
- Aid in the preparation and delivery of instructional materials, adapting resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Offer emotional support to students, helping them navigate emotional and social challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to provide a holistic approach to each student's education and well-being.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with special needs or autism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of educators and specialists.
