Key Responsibilities

  1. Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to interact with patients and families in sensitive situations, providing a caring and compassionate experience.
  2. Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to navigate complex situations, working cohesively with the team and independently with minimal supervision.
  3. Manage patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, collection, and cash receipting, ensuring accuracy and an outstanding patient experience.
  4. Promote the utilization of front-end technology during the registration process, enhancing the patient experience.
  5. Maintain confidential and accurate patient information, including insurance, billing, and payment details, throughout the patient encounter.
  6. Assist with billing functions accurately and direct to the appropriate billing office as needed.
  7. Demonstrate proficiency in emergency codes and responses, as well as applicable federal and state healthcare regulations.
  8. Monitor inventory and stock medications, narcotics, and emergency medications/equipment.



Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Computer experience necessary.
  • Customer relations experience required.
  • Experience with Medical Records Software preferred.
  • Front desk practice experience preferred.


Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit for extended periods and work in a fast-paced office environment. Ability to bend and lift up to 10 lbs. required.
