Position Summary:
The Unit Administrative Assistant performs essential clerical duties under the guidance of the charge nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare medical records for incoming patients.
- Organize and finalize patient charts post-discharge.
- Maintain necessary departmental logs.
- Respond to phone calls, door inquiries, and patient call lights courteously, relaying information to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Assist physicians in locating patient charts.
- Facilitate the faxing and scanning of documents as required by nursing and medical staff.
- Conduct inventory checks for supplies needing replenishment.
