About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Security Specialist to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for leading the assessment of our clients' database security posture and identifying areas of risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead database security assessments and risk management activities
  • Evaluate database security controls and identify vulnerabilities
  • Develop and implement database security strategies and recommendations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective database security
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging threats to database security
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in database security, including Oracle and MS SQL
  • 2+ years of experience with database vulnerability scanning, including Imperva
  • Knowledge of NIST SP 800 series and testing in accordance with NIST SP 800-53A
  • Knowledge of security best practices for Windows and Linux environments
  • Knowledge of federal information security policies, standards, procedures, directives, and frameworks, including FISMA, NIST Revisions 4 and 5, and the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of cloud database architecture
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic, multi-disciplined team
  • Security+, CISSP, or CISA certification
