Job Summary:

As a key member of the Arizona Official Website of State of Arizona team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing enterprise-wide network services, including voice, data, and video. This will involve evaluating and recommending solutions, planning and executing implementation, and maintaining a robust, secure, and stable network infrastructure, including cloud-based infrastructure.

This position may be available for remote work within Arizona, with a requirement to spend two days per week in the office or hoteling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and test network equipment, network operating system software, network infrastructure, and other network-related components/equipment.
  • Maintain, repair, upgrade, and enhance network equipment, network operating systems, network infrastructure, and other network-related components/equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and document all work performed on agency systems and network connectivity and supporting peripherals.
  • Perform system-level diagnostics and preventative maintenance to ensure network systems are operational.
  • Ensure data recovery by implementing a schedule of backups and archive operations for cloud, database, and file systems.
  • Update system documentation to record installations, upgrades, configurations, etc.
  • Track all work performed in the help desk work order system.
Requirements:
  • Implementation, troubleshooting, and design of data and cloud networking and telecommunications systems.
  • Network systems hardware and software management.
  • Network infrastructure technologies such as Cisco switches, routers, firewalls.
  • Network security and related concepts.
  • Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) principles and operation.
  • Project coordination and planning.
  • Server-based hardware technologies and operating systems, including virtualization, clustering, security, user configuration.
  • Microsoft Server Operating Systems, including Azure, Server, Exchange.
  • Google Workspace and Cloud Systems.
Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Network Systems experience.
  • Equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Required certifications: CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Server+.
  • Preferred certifications: Google IT Support Professional Certificate, CompTIA Cloud Essentials+, Cisco Certified Networking Professional.
