Job Summary: SABG is hiring a Project Control Analyst to support the CFO and accounting department in all Project Control-related activities, supporting Project Management, and handle a portfolio with multiple funding/revenue types (Fixed Price, Cost Plus, T&M, etc).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiates, monitors and maintains proper project setup in Deltek CostPoint including project number structure, funding setup, revenue and billing formula setup, project ceilings, labor categories, billing rates, rate sequence, project workforce, etc.
  • Develops project cost/schedule baselines and budgets
  • Proactively monitors project reports, actuals, and timecards to resolves issues in a timely manner
  • Monitors outstanding project commitments
  • Develops monthly project financial forecasts/EACs and conducts variance analysis
  • Monitors the project's burn rate against funding remaining
  • Ensure subcontract/vendor payments are processed correctly and in timely fashion
  • Provide customer specific invoice backup
  • Monitor billing and payment status of customer invoices
  • Perform unbilled analysis and monthly accrual calculations
  • Initiating Purchase Orders in Deltek Costpoint's Procurement module
  • Generation and analysis of financial reports
  • Communicating timecard and expense practices for the project
  • Customer invoice review and approval prior to submission
  • Support Funding notifications to the customer (i.e. 75% letters)
  • Contract Closeouts
  • Maintain project files on Box/SharePoint including contracts & contact modifications, subcontracts, proposals, budgets & plans, schedules, project review materials, reports, deliverables, invoices, leases and agreements.
  • Prepare annual and ad hoc reports as required by management, auditors, and external agencies
  • Assist with monthly reconciliation and analysis of financial reporting
  • Process accounts payable, including setting up new customers, reviewing invoices for accuracy and entering into the accounting system
  • Lead or collaborate with other team members or departments on complex projects and initiatives, research, and system related tasks as assigned
  • Work on projects as assigned by the CFO

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 4 or more years of related experience

Preferred Skills:

  • CostPoint Project Module Proficiency – Required.
  • Cognos – Preferred
  • Deltek Time and Expense - Preferred
