Position Overview:

The Guest Services Representative plays a vital role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required; coursework in a related field is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in hospitality or a similar environment is preferred.
  • A positive demeanor and a commitment to excellent customer service are essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, pay attention to detail, and solve problems effectively.
  • Clear communication skills are necessary.
  • Quick and accurate decision-making abilities are required.
  • Capability to thrive in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in addressing workplace challenges, including anticipating and resolving issues.
  • Strong listening skills to understand and clarify concerns raised by guests and colleagues.
  • Basic financial literacy and arithmetic skills are necessary.
  • Ability to perform basic numerical operations.
  • Competence in reading, comprehending, and writing simple instructions and correspondence.
  • Logical reasoning skills to analyze problems and interpret information.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is beneficial.
  • Willingness to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Understanding of hotel services and products.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards.
  • Ensure regular attendance in accordance with company policies.
  • Comply with all operational standards and regulations to promote safe hotel operations.
  • Greet and assist all guests at the Front Desk, maintaining a warm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Manage the telephone switchboard effectively, meeting performance standards.
  • Handle inquiries and requests for information with efficiency and courtesy.
  • Provide information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Foster good communication and teamwork with colleagues across departments.
  • Stay informed about rates, packages, and promotions; be aware of in-house groups and restricted dates.
  • Gather necessary information for room reservations and follow pricing protocols.
  • Understand and adhere to company policies and hospitality terminology.
  • Assist in emergency procedures as required.
  • Facilitate check-ins and check-outs in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Comprehend and operate all relevant Front Desk systems.
  • Ensure the logging and delivery of packages and messages to guests.
  • Utilize proper communication etiquette when interacting with other associates.
  • Deliver requested items to guests as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel amenities and local attractions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including assisting colleagues and maintaining cleanliness throughout the hotel.
