FRONT DESK AGENT
Position Overview:
To assist guests in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner with Front Desk operations.
Responsibilities include delivering high levels of customer service, managing room bookings, offering information and assistance to guests, and processing payments for services rendered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the check-in and check-out process for guests in accordance with hotel and brand standards.
- Provide guests with information regarding hotel amenities, policies, and procedures, as well as local attractions.
- Manage incoming calls through the hotel phone system, directing calls to the appropriate departments or guests, and accurately taking messages.
- Handle guestroom reservations, including modifications and cancellations.
- Address inquiries, requests, and concerns from guests, coordinating with other departments to meet special requests.
- Perform cashier duties, including cashing traveler's checks and posting charges to guest accounts.
- Notify housekeeping and maintenance of any issues reported by guests regarding rooms or hotel grounds.
- Adhere to security protocols to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
- Be familiar with hotel emergency procedures.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Front Office area.
Additional Duties:
- The hotel operates continuously, requiring staff to adapt to varying business demands, which may involve working different shifts.
- Employees must comply with all established work rules, procedures, and policies as outlined in the employee handbook.
