Job Title: Cash Application Lead

Location: Remote

Compensation: $22/hr

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the daily functions of the Cash Application team while collaborating closely with management.
  • Provide training and mentorship to new team members, ensuring continuous professional development.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and engage in general accounting practices to meet departmental objectives.
  • Download cash receipts and manage wire transactions from Lockbox.
  • Coordinate with account analysts to obtain necessary documentation for deposits, reconciliations, and research tasks.
  • Accurately apply all bank deposits, wires, and credit card transactions in a timely manner across all systems.
  • Process credit card payments and link unallocated cash to invoices as required.
  • Maintain cash application spreadsheets and ensure all batches are scanned and chargeback invoices printed.
  • Complete the Invoice Validation process and perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Cash Application Clerk role or within a Lockbox environment.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience in a financial capacity.
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping principles.
  • Preferred experience includes 1 year in research and reconciliation.
  • Strong proficiency in 10-Key skills.
