Job Summary

The Education Coordinator II serves as a key resource for assigned departments, providing educational support to achieve quality indicators and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess educational needs of assigned areas and develop strategies to meet those needs.
  • Provide in-service training, classes, online modules, and other educational materials to achieve educational goals.
  • Participate in meeting or exceeding quality indicators and oversee orientation for newly hired employees.
  • Maintain competencies for assigned clinical staff and serve as a mentor to frontline staff.
  • Coordinate and participate in re-certification programs and lead teams in implementing changes to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • MSN required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years clinical experience in specialty required.
  • Experience with PowerPoint and presentation technology required.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of California required.
  • BLS required.
