We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer II to join our team at ACCO Engineered Systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering services, from conceptual design to construction completion, for HVAC, Plumbing, and other contract services.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop HVAC and Plumbing systems, including duct and piping system design, using the latest modeling software.
- Conduct engineering calculations, energy analysis, and economic analysis to ensure compliance with code requirements and LEED documentation.
- Collaborate with project management, construction, and service departments to coordinate design and installation.
- Assist with project execution, site surveys, trade coordination, scheduling, and document management.
- Develop and maintain accurate and detailed project documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Prior experience with mechanical contractors and/or engineering consultants preferred.
- Excellent understanding of engineering fundamentals and proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proactivity/Initiative: Recognizes what needs to be done and accomplishes it with minimal supervision.

The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. The auditory/hearing abilities required by the job include the ability to hear customers calling by telephone.
This is a non-exempt position from Monday through Friday, with work hours beginning and ending between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Competitive wages: $39.18 to $50.48 per hour.
