Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Associate to join our team at our Indian Harbour Beach, FL location. As a Maintenance Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our store, including the sales floor, exterior, and break room. You will also be responsible for performing general maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs and repairing equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean and sanitize the sales floor, exterior, and break room, including floors, walls, baseboards, ceiling tiles, air vents, fitting rooms, touchpoints, and restrooms.
  • Exterior Maintenance: Clean and sanitize the exterior of the store, including windows, doors, cart corrals, and garbage/debris.
  • Checkout Area Maintenance: Clean and sanitize the checkout area, including daily removal of hangers and touch-point sanitization.
  • Break Room Maintenance: Clean and sanitize the break room appliances, light fixtures, water fountains, and store fixtures.
  • Supply Management: Restock required supplies in restrooms, such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
  • Garbage Management: Keep garbage containers clean and replace bags as needed.
  • General Maintenance: Perform general maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, repairing equipment, and performing minor painting and repairs.
  • Safety: Perform all tasks safely and assume ownership for Guest and Associate safety in accordance with Bealls Inc. policies and procedures.
  • Supply Communication: Monitor the supply of cleaning and sanitizing products, restroom, checkout supplies, and communicate requests to Manager.
Requirements
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with varying hours and schedules, including days, mid-shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical Demands: Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing, and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry at least 20 pounds. Must have full body rotation and mobility, including bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching. Must be able to climb a 12-foot ladder for maintaining light bulbs and air vents. Must be able to handle cleaning equipment used for maintaining cleanliness and sanitization. Must have full hand usage to operate hand tools. Must possess reliable transportation.
