We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Landscaping Associate to join our team at Fisher Island Community Association. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to landscape maintenance and horticulture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on common areas, including island medians, trails, and preserves.
  • Lawn Care: Water, mow, weed, trim, renovate, and fertilize lawns to ensure they are well-manicured and healthy.
  • Planting and Transplanting: Plant and transplant grasses and plants according to good horticultural practices.
  • Decorative Services: Spread and place mulch, decorative stones, borders, and other landscape accents as directed.
  • Trail Maintenance: Maintain all island trail ways and preserves.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a variety of landscape equipment, including trucks, aerial trucks, power saws, hand tools, safety equipment, and other hydraulic and gas-powered equipment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma and one year of preferred experience in landscape maintenance.
  • Licensing: Must possess a valid Class D license.
  • Physical Demands: Physical strength and agility sufficient to permit working overhead and with equipment or objects weighing over 30 pounds.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
