POSITION SUMMARY
The role involves executing scheduled preventative maintenance tasks across various areas including guest accommodations, meeting venues, and public spaces. Responsibilities include inspecting and flipping mattresses, checking box springs, assembling bed frames, vacuuming under and behind furniture, and performing spot cleaning on carpets and upholstery. Additionally, the position requires dusting, touch-up painting, and ensuring that all necessary hardware and appliances are present and functioning correctly. Light fixture replacements and grout and caulking inspections and repairs are also part of the duties.
Maintain, repair, and clean all guest rooms in line with the property's preventative maintenance protocols and standards. Undertake minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching wall holes. General cleaning of all surfaces in guest rooms, including tubs, wall tiles, hard floors, walls, windows, and mirrors is essential. Any significant maintenance issues, unusual findings, or safety hazards must be reported to the manager or supervisor immediately.
SAFETY AND SECURITY
Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management and complete all necessary safety training and certifications. Follow company policies and procedures diligently, ensuring that personal appearance and uniform are clean and professional. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs. Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and support the team in achieving common objectives. Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Be prepared to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Assist in moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects exceeding 50 pounds. The role requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods or throughout the entire work shift. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Related Work Experience: Less than 1 year of relevant experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
License or Certification: None required.
