Position Overview:

The Senior Estimator plays a crucial role in the accurate takeoff and pricing of projects, encompassing all direct and indirect costs associated with heavy civil, roadway, and marine projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the estimating team throughout the bidding process.
  • Prepare and oversee the pre-bid schedule.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure optimal selection.
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief Estimator during bid closeout.
  • Promote and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company processes during takeoff and pricing.
  • Verify that all bid documents align with any modifications or addenda.
  • Facilitate pre-bid testing to enhance bid accuracy.
  • Assist in budget preparation and documentation for successful projects.
  • Lead Project Turnover Meetings for new initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in complex highway, piling, bridge, and marine construction.
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory estimating role on projects exceeding $50 million.
  • Minimum of 2 years of design/build experience with large public heavy civil projects.
  • Proficient computer skills and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality and integrity in work.
