Project Quality Control Lead

Position Overview:
The Middlesex Corporation, a distinguished leader in the heavy civil construction sector, is in search of a seasoned Project Quality Control Supervisor. This role is ideal for individuals with strong leadership capabilities and a commitment to excellence, looking to advance their careers within a reputable and expanding organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion and enforce the company's Safety and Quality Policies, ensuring alignment with core values.
- Serve as the primary expert in project quality management, overseeing all aspects of quality control for self-performed work and that of subcontractors.
- Provide continuous technical guidance on quality control for construction planning and execution.
- Coordinate and schedule all necessary quality inspections and testing, including third-party services.
- Ensure compliance with contract specifications and maintain meticulous documentation of work quality.
- Develop and implement a tailored Quality Control Plan that adheres to industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Management Plan.
- Facilitate project team training on quality control processes and requirements.
- Assist in managing project documentation to reflect any changes or updates.
- Prepare comprehensive project status reports related to quality control.
- Monitor project activities for compliance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Oversee project close-out processes, ensuring all quality-related tasks are completed.
Qualifications:
- A four-year degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of two years in a construction quality control management role.
- Thorough understanding of construction practices and standards, with experience in supervision and project reporting.
- Familiarity with project management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possession or ability to obtain relevant quality assurance certifications.
- Experience in heavy civil construction projects.
