Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Safety Director to join our team at Gelest. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive environmental, health, and safety (EHS) program that ensures a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Provide training and education to employees on EHS procedures and protocols.
- Investigate and report on accidents and incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety procedures and protocols.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DEP regulations and requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry partners.
- Provide technical support and guidance to employees on EHS matters.
- Bachelor's degree in health and safety, safety engineering, environmental health, or related field.
- At least 10 years of occupational health and safety experience in an industrial environment.
- PSM/RMP Chemical industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of current company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct training and education programs.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Competitive salary range: $125,000 - $175,000.
