Role Summary:
The Shuttle Bus Operator is responsible for transporting package distribution personnel from security checkpoints to their designated work areas for one of the leading logistics companies globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain professional communication with clients, guests, and team members at all times.
- Operate a designated shuttle bus along a specified route.
- Ensure the safe transportation, loading, and unloading of passengers.
- Develop and sustain effective communication and working relationships with passengers, colleagues, supervisors, and management.
- Adhere to all safety, security, and compliance standards set by the company and regulatory bodies.
Primary Duties:
- Provide transportation services by loading and unloading passengers at designated locations.
- Ensure the safe handling of passengers, including those with special needs, utilizing appropriate equipment.
- Assist passengers with their luggage as required.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure safety.
- Meet and assist patrons at various locations as needed.
- Document any pre-existing vehicle damage using electronic or manual records.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and providing directions.
- Manage traffic flow and coordinate towing services when necessary.
- Implement and uphold the bus evacuation plan as required.
- Report any incidents or claims to the Operations Manager or Shift Lead promptly.
- Refuel and maintain shuttle equipment, keeping accurate fuel logs.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment, ensuring the shuttle is disinfected after each use.
- Comply with driver safety standards and physical requirements.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation standards.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must hold a valid commercial driver's license, Class A or B CDL.
