Position Overview:

As a CDL-A Shuttle Truck Operator, you will be essential in the movement of LTL freight overnight between our service centers. This role primarily involves dropping and hooking trailers, allowing you to focus on getting back on the road efficiently.   • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Minimum of 4 months' (1 year preferred) experience operating a tractor-trailer within the last 3 years
  • Drivers must possess a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (tanker endorsement required for portable totes)
  • No reckless driving convictions in the past 5 years
  • No DUI convictions in the past 5 years
  • No suspensions or revocations in the last 5 years
  • No serious violations in the previous 12 months (e.g., 15 mph or greater over the limit, following too closely, improper passing, traffic offenses resulting in fatalities)
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • No preventable DOT recordable accidents in the past 3 years

Key Responsibilities:

  • Move freight - force requirement: 54 lbs
  • Open/close trailer doors - force requirement: 46 lbs
  • Hook/unhook trailers - force requirement: 90 lbs
  • Enter/exit a commercial motor vehicle
  • Access the rear of a trailer from ground level
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections
  • Drive
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance
